Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Prepare to remove, replace and align bolt-on vehicle body panels and components
   • Job requirements are determined from workplace instructions
   • Removal, replacement and alignment methods are determined from workplace procedures and vehicle specifications
   • Hazards associated with the work are identified and risks are managed
   • Tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), are identified and checked for serviceability
   • Vehicle and work area are prepared according to workplace procedures
   • Work is planned to minimise waste
2. Carry out removal, replacement and alignment activities
   • Bolt-on body panels and components are removed according to vehicle specifications and safety requirements
   • Removed parts are tagged and stored according to workplace procedures
   • Bolt-on panels and components are replaced using approved processes, sealants, materials and equipment
   • Bolt-on panels and components are aligned without causing damage to vehicle or components
3. Complete work processes
   • Final inspection is made to ensure work meets workplace expectations and vehicle is presented ready for use
   • Work area is cleaned, waste and non-recyclable materials are disposed of, and recyclable material is collected and stored
   • Tools and equipment are checked and stored according to workplace procedures

remove, replace and align bolt-on body panels and components on four different vehicles, in which the work must involve one combination of three adjoining vehicle bolt-on panels and components.
